Lunch at Four Boys Cafe. These boys have been open for just over a year now. We could have gone to a certain pub down the road but we like to support small independents. . Four Boys is a cafe and restaurant overlooking the estuary in Rock.Their menu changes regularly, depending what’s in season. In the morning they serve single origin coffee, breakfast buns and pastries. At lunch and dinner there's fresh pasta, grilled fish and salads served as plates to share. . As it was a sunny-ish day we wanted somewhere to sit outside with our doggies. We hadn't booked and on arrival it seemed everybody else had the same idea. Luckily, they managed to find us the last available table on the terrace with a magnificent view of Padstow on the other side of the estuary. . The menu is small, but has a nice selection to temp you into possibly over ordering. With it being lunchtime and a dinner reservation elsewhere later,we just ordered three plates to share. A lovely peice of fried Monkfish with an egg tartar sauce. Heirloom tomato, anchovy ,shallot salad. So glad we ordered the Papardrelle with pork ragu and parmesan. This was one of the tastiest pasta dishes we have had in a long time. To sum up, these boys serve up delious freshly cooked food, simply plated at a budget friendly price. Along with great service their definately ones to watch. If you want to visit, make sure you book.

Booked a table today for lunch and glad we did as it was busy for 12.30. Staff were extremely welcoming. Food was absolutely excellent. Three courses (never had such a fresh burrata dish) monkfish was outstanding, rabbit was stunning! All the dishes were so light, fresh and packed with herbs - superb . Very reasonable table wines by the glass. Staff lovely. You deserve to do well. Excellent meal. Thank you.

Had a wonderful experience at Four Boys! The atmosphere was relaxed, and the music playlist added a great vibe, making the dining experience feel effortlessly casual. The food was exceptional—everything was cooked to perfection, but the fish, in particular, was truly exquisite. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Cornwall!

There are good days and great days, for me it's often determined by the food I eat and lunch today at Four Boys made it a great day. It's a short menu which is a good sign, fresh local ingredients, prepared to perfection. There were 3 of us and we shared all the dishes which was ideal. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient, even the other diners were friendly with many tables having some friendly banter. Absolutely delightful experience. Highly recommend.

I had a totally delicious meal here today. Amazing fresh pasta, fish, squid and focaccia. Plus, delicious treacle tart dessert. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Wine list was fab - lots to choose from and not overpriced. SO much better than blue tomato. Can’t wait to come again.

Enjoyed breakfast at Four Boys twice during our stay. Food is excellent and staff couldn't be more friendly. Our dog was welcomed and we got to sit right by the window overlooking the estuary. Menu looks simple, but the food is absolutely amazing. Thoroughly recommend the warm scones, cinnamon bun or the sausage, egg and bacon bap.

Great food and a fantastic spot with lovely views over the estuary. We probably got upsold a little if being picky - were recommended to up our order and really didn’t need it once the food arrived. But other than that no complaints at all. Great food, good service and they were very accommodating of our two dogs too.

Lucky enough to have had lunch here on a beautiful sunny day. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They explained that the menu was for sharing and that things would be served as they were ready. The pasta and fish were super fresh, along with a nice glass of white. Given the quality of the food, we thought the pricing was very reasonable. 10/10 would eat again
